AROUND TOWN

Lisa Hamilton's top local spots

Who doesn’t love a good local?! That special place which keeps you coming back for more every week, or dare we say it, every day; A quiet café perfect for lazy Sunday breakfast, a favourite boutique nestled on a bustling Melbourne laneway, a dimly-lit but divinely warm local cellar or a friendly neighbourhood florist.

Dressed up in her picks for the season, we asked Melbourne local, Lisa Hamilton (of style blog, See Want Shop) to show us around her neighbourhood and take us through her effortless weekend style.

The Cargo Sunglasses

“Living in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne means there are countless places to choose from when looking for a ‘local’. I love to grab coffee or bite to eat at C.H James. It’s one of my favourite Melbourne coffee spots – be sure to check out their Chai, it’s amazing! Fowlers Flowers in Clifton Hill is just a short stroll from my home – they have beautiful blooms and it’s one of the cutest little florists ever.”

I am all about simple striking jewellery, so the Go To Ring fits in with my wardrobe perfectly – I’m loving rose gold this season

“When heading out, I like to keep things simple on the style stakes with a black or monochrome base and a pop of colour. In terms of accessories, I am all about simple striking jewellery, so the Go-To Ring fits perfectly with my wardrobe – I’m loving rose gold this season. Some on-trend fringing on the ultimate day bag is the perfect way to carry my essentials.”

The Mechanica Slipper, The Cavalry Mini Pouche

“Weekends are supposed to be lazy, so these casual slip ons are the perfect choice for when I’m out and about. I love how the sharp silhouette and striking print can spice up an all-black ensemble.”
