STATEMENT WINTER WARDROBE
19 Apr 2017
Follow Kate Waterhouse’s lead with accessory heroes to take the simplest of Winter Wardrobes to new statement-making heights.
"When it comes to my Winter Wardrobe, I like to mix things up; whether it’s dark & moody styling
or light & bright looks, my accessories have to be able to follow suit.
These are my top tips for creating your Statement Winter Wardrobe."
DARK AND MOODY
"Wearing a head-to-toe black look can sometimes look a little too intense, so I like to break it up with contrasting prints – such as an oversized houndstooth coat – and sleek accessory details. I like to limit my accessories to muted tones but also love to be able to tap into the season's biggest trends.
A black watch and simple jewellery paired back with MIMCO’s Lassie Mini Bag – or an
oversized black tote to carry all my essentials for day – are my go-to when I'm after a classic look, with a few contemporary touches."

LIGHT AND BRIGHT
"If my outfit is centered around lighter tones, I opt for more vibrant accessories to build on a pared back palette, whilst still keeping it tonal.
A pair of statement earrings, oversized sunglasses and a block colour envelope clutch
(I love the burgundy accent of MIMCO’s Highland Hip Bag!) are the ideal way to bring this look to life."
