A sun-soaked, plant-filled space (Abbotsford’s Kitty Burns) proved to be the perfect setting to debut our botanical-inspired collection. Hosted by the vivacious (and perpetually smiling) Georgia Love, the launch was out to prove that come race season, there’s really only one dress code on our minds: all out glamour!

Kate Gaskin joined us to style our model moments, and to let us in on some secrets – i.e. what to wear to the races.

“This year there’s a welcome return to colour. There are a lot of pastels around, in really feminine pale blues, pinks and lilac, which is a contrast to last year when there was a lot of black and monochrome. Ladylike silhouettes, puffy sleeves and frills are a big trend for this season."

With our designers playing with everything from voluminous fabric to sculptured metals, the result is feminine and floral (of course), with an unexpected statement motif coming in the form of a deconstructed butterfly wing.

Sarah Rovis, MIMCO’s managing director, had her eyes on all things botanical, “I love the stunning detail of the Botanica Headpiece – and the fact that we’ve got earrings to go back with it makes it feel like a very different look. It really is a beautiful piece.”
